About us |

The Pomona & District Community House is located in the old Station Master’s House opposite the main shopping centre in Pomona Queensland.
The “House” is owned by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council and is leased to the Community House Committee for the use of the whole Community.
The “House” is operated by volunteers who give their time freely for the benefit of others.
The aims of the Pomona Community “House” are to increase Community participation by providing opportunities for individuals and groups within the broader Community to come together for the benefit of all .
The Management Committee is a group of people who offer their time, energy and commitment voluntarily to oversee the running of the “House” and to maintain its momentum.
The goals of the “House” are to:
¨ Encourage the development of and access to, services which meet the needs of individuals and groups in the Community.
¨ Promote research into and awareness of local issues, problems, concerns and needs.
¨ To create the incentive, support and training for participation in all or various aspects of the Pomona Community House. ¨ Above all , have fun, enjoy other peoples company, laugh and show that helping other people can, not only be fun but personally fulfilling. |
